Preface
Thank you for choosing the Lichen Technology PV Series Paste Viscosity Meter. To ensure
optimal performance and safety, please read this user manual carefully before use. Failure to
follow the instructions may void the warranty or affect after-sales service. Please keep this
manual for future reference.
Safety Precautions:
DANGER!
Ensure that only personnel who have received appropriate training are authorized to operate this
instrument.
Please comply with safety regulations, personal safety protocols, accident prevention measures,
and other relevant guidelines.
WARNING!
This instrument is suitable for use under ambient temperature conditions; please keep it away
from corrosive gases.
Do not operate the instrument for extended periods in environments with high humidity or high
dust levels.
Before each use, please inspect the instrument and its accessories to ensure they are undamaged.
The instrument power supply must be tested within the specified voltage and frequency error
ranges; otherwise, the measurement accuracy may be compromised.
When moving or transporting the instrument, screw on the yellow protective cap to support the
rotor connector. The yellow protective cap must be unscrewed before powering on the
instrument for operation to prevent equipment damage.
Many of the suspensions, emulsions, polymers, and other viscous fluids are "non-Newtonian
fluids," whose apparent viscosity varies with the shear rate and elapsed time. Consequently, it is
normal for measurement results to differ when conducted using different rotors, at different
rotational speeds, and over different durations; such discrepancies are not indicative of
instrument malfunction (for the measurement of non-Newtonian fluids, it is generally
recommended to specify the rotor type, rotational speed, and measurement duration).
Do not arbitrarily disassemble or adjust the components of the instrument, and do not add
lubricating oil on your own. If any spare parts are damaged, please use only the original
replacement parts for replacement.
In the event of a malfunction, you should promptly contact our company for repair guidance or
for on-site maintenance at our facility.

I. Overview
The Lichen PV Series Paste Viscosity Meter is a digital rotary viscosity measurement
instrument specifically developed for high-viscosity, low-flow-rate, and thixotropic paste materials.
It is primarily designed to determine the dynamic viscosity of non-Newtonian paste materials,
addressing the testing challenges posed by conventional viscosimeters when handling viscous pastes,
gels, and thick pastes. This instrument is widely applied in laboratory research and development,
incoming material inspection, and finished product quality control scenarios, featuring an
aesthetically pleasing and compact design.
