Further Information
Detailed information about the user interface and work flows can be found in the User
Guide and Online Help for SIPLACE LED Pairing.
The brightness class is displayed in the Setup-Editor in SIPLACE Pro Desk.
In SIPLACE Setup Center, the barcode labels for LEDs have to be extended by the barcode
fragment Brightness Class. Additionally to the component name, SIPLACE Setup Center also
checks the brightness class for LEDs during the setup verification.
Detailed information can be found in the User Guides or Online Helps for SIPLACE Pro and
SIPLACE Setup Center.

6 New Features in SIPLACE LED Pairing
6.1 Wildcard Character '*' as Reference Designator
The '*' wildcard character can be used as reference designator in the LED matrix file.
6.2 Creating a Partial Setup
Multiple recipes can be selected in the Production view, whereupon SIPLACE LED Pairing
generates one download recipe for each selected recipe. If the selected recipes have the same
recipe template, SIPLACE LED Pairing will create one common setup for the download recipes.
Optionally, a partial setup may be created out of it via a new button. All components that are not
required in the download recipes will then be removed from the setup together with their feeders.
6.3 Transferring Changes to Original Placement Lists
SIPLACE LED Pairing creates copies of the placement lists. If errors are detected in the data
during placement, the user usually corrects them only in the copy.
In order to transfer such changes controlled to the original placement lists, it is now possible to start
the Difference Editor in SIPLACE LED Pairing via a new button in the Production view.
The relevant placement lists are displayed for comparison and the correction can be performed in
the Difference Editor.

7 Restrictions
– Due to the optimization strategy, additional placement positions are generated in the template
job. Hence, the simulated optimization results are not as good as the real ones. Solely the
optimization results of the download recipes comply with the usual prediction accuracy, as they
do not contain any additional placement positions anymore.
– Only the component shape is evaluated to unite the series resistors in placeholder groups. This
means, that the series resistors of a placeholder group refer to the same component shape. It
is assumed that all components which have to be exchanged against each other have the
same component shape.
– It is not possible to exchange components in waffle-pack tray carrier.
– Series resistors and LEDs must be located in the same SIPLACE Pro folder.
