3.2 Inspection, Cleaning, and Lubrication Spots
The following describes about the maintenance tasks required for each individual
units.
Reference
Refer to "2. Maintenance Check List" for the maintenance items classied based
on frequency.
3.2.1 Pallet
Note
When the pallet is warped, the component pickup rate may deteriorate.
Pallet
Every Month Inspection and Cleaning
Required Time: 1 minute
When the pallet is dirty, clean both top and
bottom surfaces with a rag.
Upper Surface
Every 3 Months Inspection
Required Time: 1 minute
Check for the warpage of the pallet with a
scale. (Up to Max. 0.5 mm)
Rails
Every 3 Months Inspection
Required Time: 2 minutes
Check the wear and warpage of the bottom
surfaces of the pallet rails with a scale.
(Up to Max. 0.3 mm)

3.2.2 Elevator Unit
Before the maintenance work, manually move the elevator to the position for
easier lubrication work and turn off the power.
The maintenance cover must be detached to apply grease to the elevator shaft.
Ball Screw
Every 3 Months Lubrication
(DAPHNE EPONEX GREASE No. 1)
Required Time: 10 minutes
Wipe off old grease with an oiled rag and
apply new one with a brush.
Take ample care not to leave any
waste threads after cleaning.
Frame Lower Surface
Every 3 Months Lubrication and Cleaning
Required Time: 5 minutes
Wipe off the grease accumulated on the
frame lower surface using a rag.

L-cover Removal from the Elevator Unit Side Surface
(1) Zero the multi-layer tray feeder.
(2) Open the "TRAY UNIT" window and move the elevator to the place where
the grease can easily be supplied. (Operation Sequence: [MAINT] Button on
Main Menu → [Unit Adj.] Button on "MAINT" Submenu → [TRAY] Button
on "Unit Adj." Submenu → "TRAY UNIT" Window)
(3) Turn off the power.
(4) Remove the set screws (M4L6) (6 locations).
WARNING
Before detaching the maintenance cover, be sure
to turn off the power breaker and lock it with a
padlock.
Remove six setscrews (M4L6).
Remove the L-cover from the
elevator unit side surface.

(5) Slide the L-cover on the elevator unit side surface and remove it.

Attachment of Maintenance Cover
Attach the maintenance cover using the reverse procedure of the L-cover
Removal from the elevator unit side surface.
CAUTION
After the maintenance work, be sure to attach the
cover back in place.
