5.4 Installing the SIPLACE software (Station Software 704.01)
Note:
The installation requires approx. 80 minutes.
→ Switch on the SIPLACE placement machine.
→ Log in to the machine computer as Administrator.
(Keep the Shift key pressed as soon as the Windows XP logo appears)
Note:
The operator has to log off before, otherwise the software might run in the background.
→ Insert the installation CD in the drive. It is read in automatically.
Note:
If autostart has been disabled for the drive, you must start the installation manually from
the Windows Explorer.
→ Open the Explorer and start "setup.exe" under drive E by double clicking it.
The "SIPLACE Choice Center" dialog box is opened.

→ Click the "Station computer" button.
Installation of the station software continues with the selection of the language.

→ Click the OK button.
5.4.2 Installing the system files
The necessary system files are installed if they are not already on the machine computer. The machine
computer is rebooted automatically after installation. You are automatically logged in as administrator.
Installation of the station software continues with the welcome screen.

→ Select the option for the machine type for which the software is to be configured.
→ Click the Next button.
5.4.5 Selecting the hardware configuration
The "SIPLACE Setup" dialog box is opened, in which you configure the hardware for one-computer or two-
computer operation. One-computer operation is default for the SX placement machines.

→ Click the "One-computer-configuration" button.
→ Click the Next button.
