4.5 Machine files
There are 2 databases in Version 602 of the software, MA-Daten.mdb and MA-Achsen.mdb.
Machine-related configuration, measurement and parameter data is stored in *.XML and *.MA files.
The MA-Daten.mdb database contains all standard data except the standard data for the axes. This data is
stored in the MA-Achsen.mdb database.
Note:
All machine data and the database (see machine data database feature) must be of
revision level 70 (version 70.602.01). Current machine data must
not be replaced by
revision levels of an earlier version, either completely or partially, e.g. revision level 60
(version 60.601.03).

4.6 Installing the machine controller on a CPU076 (SIPLACE X-series)
4.6.1 Installing the RMOS machine controller operating system
4.6.1.1 Creating the installation floppies
The two floppies for the machine controller operating system can be created on any Windows XP
computer equipped with a CD drive and a floppy drive. An image in the form of a self-extracting EXE file is
stored in the folder "RMOS_Images" of the CD with the Version 602.01 software for both of the installation
floppies. The numbers at the end of the file names (Rmos-1.exe, Rmos-2.exe) correspond to the
sequential number of the relevant floppy. You can create the floppies in any sequence.
Insert the CD for version 602.01 of the software in the CD ROM drive.
Insert a formatted floppy (3.5", 1.44MB) into the floppy drive.
In the Windows Explorer, open the "RMOS_Images" folder on the CD.
Start the appropriate EXE file by double clicking it.
Follow the program instructions:
Insert the floppy. You may be asked whether the floppy can be deleted.
The floppy is written (the bar shows the progress).
When the window disappears, the floppy is finished (before removing the floppy, you must wait until the
'active' light on the disk drive has gone out).
Notes:
- The system looks for a floppy in drive 'A': The floppy must therefore already be in the drive at the start
(this setting cannot be changed).
- You must use a formatted floppy.
(The program does not allow you to format the floppy as you create it.)
- Each time the EXE file is called it will create a single floppy.
- Before and during creation of each disk, no other tool may be permitted to access this floppy (e.g. the
current Explorer window, the path of a DOS box must not be set to the A: drive).
