4.9.2 BIOS settings
The required BIOS settings are supplied as an ISO image on the installation CD. This image can be used to
create a bootable CD with suitable CD writing software on a PC with a CD writer. This CD can in turn be
used to automatically make the BIOS settings.
Procedure:
→ Create the CD 'CPU420_MC_BIOS_Settings'.
→ Remove the keyboard from the station computer and connect it to the machine controller.
→ Switch the video multiplexer to SR2/MC.
→ Insert the CD 'CPU420_MC_BIOS_Settings' in the USB CD drive and connect the drive to the machine
controller using a USB cable.
→ Reboot the machine controller and follow the BIOS setting instructions.
→ Restore the initial configuration (see section
4.9.1.4).
4.9.3 Manual installation of the machine controller software
The following step can be omitted if the station software is installed. (The MC Distributor is called during the
course of the station software installation.)
→ Open the Start menu and select Programs Æ Siplace Æ MC Distributor. The installation is started.
→ Follow the instructions on screen.
