After submission of an error report, under certain circumstances we might ask you to fill out a ques-
tionnaire. Answering the questionnaire is not obligatory. Should you submit an error report without
answering the questionnaire, your report will remain anonymous. If you choose to provide a tele-
phone number or an email address, you may be asked for additional information required for error
recovery.
3. How are reports archived?
Any error report you submit will be protected through encryption as for example the Secure Soccer
Layer Protocol. In order to protect any personal information that you may supply, we additionally
work with a range of security technologies and methods. For instance, incoming error reports are
saved on computer server with extremely restricted access.
4. Who has access to archived error reports?
Only ASM employees, contractual partners and vendors with a business requirement are granted
access to the error reports. If an error report proves it apparent that a third-party component is part
of the problem, ASM Assembly Systems GmbH & Co. KG reserves the right to submit the error report
to the involved third-party vendor, who in turn may notify his or her own vendors and partners.
5. Information about the type of data collected
The Error Reporting Service is an integral part of all products made by ASM Assembly Systems
GmbH & Co. KG and serves the purpose of documenting multiple errors. This section exemplifies
a few possible elements that could be documented as part of an error report without asserting the
claim for completeness. The type and amount of data is dependent on the seriousness of the error
and the required data contribution for error recovery.
