8 Troubleshooting

If the OIS/SIS software is causing problems, you should use the error reporting tool to report the

error information. The error reporting tool is provided on the Support Media DVDs that are shipped

with the SIPLACE Pro / OIS package. Please use the Error Report menu item in the SIPLACE

Monitoring Service start menu to create an error report and then make it available to your

SIPLACE service engineer.

8.1 Problems and solutions

8.1.1 Problem when installing the Monitoring Service

If you install SQL 2005 manually, for OIS/SIS server the Mixed Mode must be activated (see the

"Manual Installation of SQL Server 2005" manual, item no. [00195784-xx].

When installing SQL 2005 Express via the support media DVDs, the option is activated

automatically.

8.1.2 OIS client with foreign languages needs restart of the machine

If the OIS client has been installed with foreign languages, after the installation a restart of the

machine is required with administration login.

8.1.3 Station software 70x sends no operation data to the Monitoring Service

Verify and correct the IP address of the station. You find detailed information in the "Line

configuration" section in the Administration manual, item no. [00196954-xx].
