3 Requirements
The requirements for installing the SIPLACE Material Manager are described in the Installation
Manual, item no. [00197500-xx].
The necessary system requirements for the SIPLACE Material Manager correspond basically to
the system requirements for SIPLACE Setup Center and are described in the Version Description
SIPLACE Setup Center, item no. [00197381-xx] and in the Operating Manual SIPLACE Material
Manager, item no. [00197587-xx].
NOTICE
System requirements
The Support Media DVD included in the installation package checks the necessary
system requirements of your system and installs these. Amongst others e.g. Microsoft
.NET Framework, the License Manager and the Error Reporting tool.
The use of the Support Media V2.2 is obligatory.
The system requirements (supported operating system and database variants) and an
overview of mutually compatible products can be found in the SIPLACE Support Media
Software Version Description, item no. [00197793-xx].

5 Features of the SIPLACE Material Manager 2.2

Detailed information about dialogs and functions can be found in the Online help and the
SIPLACE Material Manager Operating Manual, item no. [00197587-xx].
5.1 Full Version and Basic Version
Two different licenses of the SIPLACE Material Manager are available as of the 1.1 Version:
– Full version
– Basic version
In the basic version, some of the dialogs and functions are not available or differently displayed as
in the full version. The basic version is intended for operators of the SIPLACE Material Tower and
only contains those parts of the full version that are necessary for operating the Material Tower.
The basic version can be operated without using a PDA.
5.2 New and Modified Dialogs
All features of the previous 2.1 Version are also supported by the SIPLACE Material Manager 2.2
Version. The main features of the 2.2 Version are listed below.
The following dialogs have been changed in the new version:
Material Requirement – Material Requirement List dialog
With the new version, picking of material at the Material Tower can be startet or completed directly
out of this dialog.
Previously missing parts list only have been created fort he selected material requirement list. With
the new version a missing part list can be created for ALL material requirement lists existing for the
selected line.
Material Requirement – Material Forecast dialog
With the new version, a material forecast is also possible for lots. After selecting the type, one or
several specific lots can be selected for the further processing and the quantity and unit (boards or
panels) for those lots can be changed.
Master Data –Material Definition dialog
With the new version it is possible to deside, if a material should be hold available permanently in
the Active Feeder Pool or not.
