1 User manual verification of sleeves
1.1 Description
This document describes the procedure on how to check (verify) the sleeve spring tension including cri-
teria to identify and separate "bad" sleeves.
The following sleeves can be verified
▪ 00350588 sleeve type 12 with ball catch compl.
▪ 00352957 sleeve type 6 with ball catch compl.
▪ 00360177 sleeve SP6 short protuberances, CO max. 10.7mm
▪ 00360178 sleeve SP6 short protuberances, CO max. 10.7mm
The preventive maintenance and visual inspection of sleeves is described in the respective maintenance
manual of the machine.

The sleeve verification tool is a checking device, no measuring device. It is used to detect and
select sleeves with wrong spring tension by means of attributive check. It is not used to identify
exact measured values.

▪ Set the sensing lever gauge at the correct distance for the sleeves to be measured (6x or 12x place-
ment head).
