8) UPS Power Fail
Check
(When UPS is unconnected, it is invalid.)
In the case of “Use”, if the UPS Power Fail signal is detected, the
Ea2848 error message (refer to 4.1.9) is displayed, and it becomes
the emergency stop condition. The countdown begins at the time set
at the UPS Backup Time. The machine cannot be operated during
the countdown. The shutdown begins when the countdown ended or
the error clear button is clicked. The board data etc. under the edit
are not preserved.
In the case of “Not Use”, the system of the machine works as long as
the UPS battery is enough even if the power failure occurs. (If the
machine isn't restarted, the restoration of the servo is impossible)
However, there is a possibility of destroying the user data if the
machine is not shut down manually because the machine is not shut
down automatically.
9) UPS Battery Low
Check
(When UPS is unconnected, it is invalid.)
In the case of “Use”, if the UPS Battery Low signal is detected, the
Ea2847 error message (refer to 4.1.11) is displayed, and The
shutdown begins immediately even during the countdown.
In the case of “Not Use”, the machine is not shut down immediately.
10) UPS Active
(It is impossible to change because it is set in the factory.)
"Active" means when optional UPS is used, and other than that, it
becomes "Not Active". However, UPS that can be used here is
limited to the one specified by our company.
11) UPS Backup Time
(It is impossible to change because it is set in the factory.)
(When UPS is unconnected, it is invalid.)
If a power failure occurs when UPS is connected, UPS supplies
electric power during this setting time. The machine can continue the
auto-running if the failure is recovered within this setting time. If the
power failure continues more than this setting time, the machine is
shut down automatically.
While UPS is working, keyboard or mouse can work but the
auto-running of the machine or operation of axis etc, cannot work.
Default value is 60 seconds.

12) UPS Start Time

This setting tem is to know the limiting period of use of UPS. The
date of machine shipment is set as initial value. When UPS or battery
of UPS is exchanged, please change this date. (The life expectancy
of UPS is 5 years , 25℃ in room temperature . Depending on the
environment, the time is shortened.)
13) UPS Battery Life
(When UPS is unconnected, it is invalid.)
The life expectancy of UPS is 5 years , 25℃ in room temperature .
Depending on the environment, the time is shortened.
When this battery time which is from “UPS Start Time” to “present
time” passed off, the message of the exchange requirement is
displayed (This item is planed to release by the end of 2010.).

The UPS Start Time can be updated by taping this button after the
battery is exchanged.

4. Details of operation
4.1 Cause and measures of error by RAS monitoring function
The error messages by RAS monitoring function, and the cause and measures for the error
messages are described as follows.
4.1.1 C/R +5V DC Power NG
When abnormality is found in the +5V DC Power in the C/R box, the following error message is
displayed.
