1.2 System Requirements
SIPLACE Explorer V2.7 provides various installation variants for the different components: 1
– Factory Layout Central Installation (CI)
– Factory Layout Distributed Installation (DI)
– Single Line Layout
We recommend that you use one of these installation variants for your system. For a detailed de-
scription, please see Section “Standard Installation of SIPLACE Explorer” on page 19. 1
1.2.1 SIPLACE Explorer Server
1.2.1.1 Hardware
We recommend using an Econel 100. If your system uses other hardware, this hardware must
meet the following requirements: 1
– 3.2 GHz processor
–2 GB RAM
– 160 GB available hard-disk space
–DVD ROM drive
If your system uses hardware with low performance data, you can expect reduced system perfor-
mance for SIPLACE Explorer. 1
1.2.1.2 Software
– System environment - one of the following versions:
