1. Scope
1. Scope
This specially designed machine detects whether any large component
is caught between the tape feeding surface of the tape feeder and the
suppressor (the vertical component), due to a pick-up error in the large
component, resulting from the component's pick-up height having not
been correctly set.
This machine immediately stops the feeder carriage, after detecting the
error, so as to prevent interference of the line sensor unit by the large
component.

This specially designed machine has the following functions.
• Large component pick-up error detection
• Feeder carriage stopping function after detecting the error
Size: 26
× 26 mm or less
Note: If the component is placed 2.8 mm or lower than the tape feeder
feed reference surface then the error can not be detected, be-
cause the component has been placed below the pick-up error
confirmation plate.
Detection System
Actuator Plate System
This is a contact method, where the pick-up error is detected when
the component to be detected touches the pick-up error confirmation
plate.
Notes: (a) When the component to be detected touches the pick-up
error confirmation plate and the actuator plate does not
return automatically, then return it manually.
(b) When the bulk feeder is used, replace the pick-up error
confirmation plate.
(Plate 7 mm shorter than the standard size)
Compared with standard plate use, the components to be
detected are limited.
Detection is available at anytime when the machine's power is switched
on ([POWER ON] button: Yellowish Green).
When using this specially designed machine, it is necessary to re-
place the upper cutter blade by flat type blade (9T).
(Such replacement is required because the L-shaped upper cutter blade
interferes with the detection unit).
