TIP
Regarding YSM20W Single-lane, the tensioner (pulley) locates at the downstream side of the conveyor flow direction.
Therefore the tensioner (pulley) location varies if the machine flow direction is different.

Detach belt from conveyor.
Detach the conveyor belt from the pulley
and board guide.
6
Check the conveyor belt.
Check the transfer surface of the detached
belt for worn-out or scuffing. If the belt worn-
out amount or scuffing is large, replace the
conveyor belt while referring to "Chapter 6
How to replace consumable parts"
7
Clean the belt guides and pulleys.
1. Use a vacuum assembly (option) to suck
the belt wear debris on the belt guides
and sensors, etc.
2. Use a plastic spatula or similar tool to
remove the belt wear debris adhering to
the outer peripheral surface of pulleys.
3. Use a brush or similar tool to remove belt
wear debris caught in the belt guides.
c
CAUTION
Use a plastic spatula and brush to avoid scratching the
pulleys and guides.
c
CAUTION
Do not use a solvent (IPA, etc.) unless the guides and
pulleys are excessively dirty. If using a solvent, be
careful not to spill the solvent on the bearing in the
pulleys during cleaning.
8
Reattach the belt.
1. Reattach the belt temporarily while
putting it on the pulley.
2. Move the bracket (YSM20W Single-lane:
pulley) to the position marked in Step 4
and mount the bolts.
3.
If looseness of the belt is found, adjust the
bracket (pulley) position to apply tension.
n
NOTE
The following shows the conveyor belt tension standard
values of this machine. When necessary, adjust the
conveyor belt tension with a tension meter.
YSM20 Dual-stage
Entrance, exit : 150 to 180Hz
W2-axis, W3-axis : 300 to 350Hz
YSM20/YSM20W Dual-lane / YSM20 Single-lane
W1-axis : 420 to 460Hz
YSM20W Single-lane (for transferring heavy boards)
W1-axis : 274 to 334Hz
c
CAUTION
The followings are tightening torques of the tensioner
mounting bolts. Do not tighten the bolt excessively.
Pulley bracket mounting bolt : 3.8 N•m.
Pulley mounting bolt : 5.5 N•m.
