PERIPHERAL DEVICES
Power Supply Unit
(PSU)
The PC has its own power supply that uses the mains input and provides the
voltages as shown:
• 0V,+5V and +12V to the CD ROM, Floppy Disk and Hard Disk Drives.
• 0V and +12V to the enclosure dc Fan.
• 0V and +12V to J2 on the Cognex Vision Card.
• 0V, -5V, +5V, -12V and +12V to the PC backplane.
Disk Drives The system houses three disk drives:
Hard Disk Drive The 3.5 inch hard disk drive is located on the front right of the enclosure and is
mounted below the CD ROM Drive.
Floppy Disk Drive The 3.5 inch floppy disk drive is located on the front right of the enclosure and
is used for updating product file information.
CD ROM Drive The 5.25 inch CD ROM Drive is located on the front right of the enclosure and
is used for downloading machine software.

Breakout Panel
In slot ISA 1 an expansion panel provides a standard bi-directional parallel port
25 way printer interface.
