3.2.4 Checking Voltage
Using a tester, measure the voltage among the input and output terminals of the step-down transformer to
make sure the rated voltage is supplied.
1.
1. Turn OFF the breaker and circuit protector on the output side of the step-down transformer.
2. Turn ON the main switch.
3. Using a tester, measure the voltage between the input terminals of the step-down transformer to make
sure the rated voltage is supplied.
4. Measure the output terminals of the step-down transformer. Voltages between U and V, V and W, W and
U should be 200V AC.

Connecting Grounding Cable between Machine and Ground
=HINT=
As machine is of safety ground structure, grounding is of importance for prevention of troubles such as
electric shock, fire and malfunction.
2.
1. How to ground
=SPECIFICATION=
Use the grounding cable of which cross-sectional area is equal to or larger than that of main power
supply cable.
200V class Ground cable size
Up to 10KVA 5.3 mm
2
AWG10
Up to 20KVA 8.0 mm
2
AWG8
Up to 40KVA 14.0 mm
2
AWG6
=REMARKS=
EN standard requires the cross-sectional area of grounding cable to be equal to or larger than that
of power supply cable of machine.
Do not relay the grounding cable.
Perform class 3 (class D) grounding work.
Grounding should satisfy the requirements of the local electrical laws.
=SPECIFICATION=
Ground resistance (between machine and ground): 100W or below
The following conditions are required for arrangement of grounding cable.
Keep the ground cable wiring as far apart as possible from the I/O wiring of noise-sensitive
equipment and set the parallel distance as short as possible.
