Charge Analyzer/Charge
Plate Monitor
The 3M Charge Analyzer 711 was designed to test the performance
of products used for the purpose of static control and elimination.
The Charge Analyzer 711 can be used as a laboratory analytical tool,
evaluating the performance of ionizing equipment, static-protective
packaging, work surfaces, and personnel grounding systems. It is very
effective for use as a demonstration tool in employee static awareness
training sessions.
The lightweight and compact construction of the unit offers versatility in
the workplace. The modular internal construction simplifies modifications
and repair by exchange of the functional printed circuit boards. All
parameter settings are controlled via a built-in EEPROM. Periodic
calibrations can be performed without the need to open the chassis.
When the analyzer is switched off, all last set parameters are stored
in the EEPROM. These parameters are defaulted to when the unit is
switched on again. The analyzer 711 is powered by built-in rechargeable
NiMH-batteries or an AC wall plug-in adapter. All interfacing connections
are made at the rear of the unit.

Ground Integrity Meter
3M
Ground Pro Ground Integrity Meter
3M Ground Pro Ground Integrity Meter is an essential tool for anyone
concerned with obtaining proper grounding of equipment during
installation, maintenance, and throughout regular use. This dedicated
meter has multiple features to verify critical grounding parameters in any
facility. It measures ground impedance in accordance with ANSI 6.1 and
ANSI/ESDA S20.20 standards. Because data integrity is essential, this
monitor provides accurate measurements of ground impedance even
when ground noise is present an area in which many instruments fail.
It also measures AC and DC voltage on the ground while separately
measuring high-frequency voltage (EMI), to aid in performing diagnostics
of equipment malfunctions and lockups.
Features
• ANSI/ESDA S20.20 and ANSI 6.1 compliant.
• Accurate readings in noisy environments.
• Built-in alarm alerts personnel of potentially dangerous voltage.
• Measures high-frequency noise (EMI) on grounds in a broad frequency range.
Areas Not Touched by Multimeters
A typical multimeter measures resistance by applying DC voltage to
the circuit and measuring voltage drop. Any current in the ground
connection, which is a common occurrence in a working tool, can easily
be factored in the calculations and cause a multimeter to produce an
unrealistic result such as negative or extremely high resistance. Ground
Pro uses proprietary DSP technology to measure ground impedance
while completely ignoring noise and currents on the ground, providing
reliable readings in difficult environments.
