Mounting the gassing ring
NOTE
Insertion of centred sealing rings
The sealing rings and the gassing ring must lie flat and not be tilted! Make sure that
the sealing rings are inserted in a centred position. The upper part of the gassing cap
must be fully inserted into the gassing cap and not stand on one edge of a sealing ring.
ü To mount a new gassing ring:
a) Insert a new gassing ring and two new sealing rings into the gassing hood.
b) Screw in the inner ring (2) by hand. In so doing, make sure that the sealing rings
and the gassing ring do not tilt.
c) Tightly screw in the inner ring with a hook wrench. Work carefully!
d) Using your finger, check whether the gassing ring is firmly seated in its housing.
e) Clean the gassing cap (1) once again with a lint-free cloth.
ð The process has now been completed.
Now you can reassemble the gassing hood. With regard to this, please read

8.11.7 Board fixation: Clean and lubricate slide surfaces
DANGER
Severe or fatal injury from hot machine! Hot pot containing molten metal!
ü For any work being carried out, take the following safety precautions:
a) Touching the pot during operation is forbidden!
b) Allow the pot to cool down to room temperature before carrying out service and
cleaning work! On this regard, observe the solder temperature at the machine
terminal!
c) During the solder heating and cooling, molten metal can splash out of the pot!
The machine protective plates must therefore remain closed during heating and
cooling!
d) Open protective plates only when the solder has solidified completely.
e) Service and cleaning work on hot pots must always be carried out by trained and
qualified personnel!
CAUTION
Fine dust may irritate the skin, respiratory tracks and mucous membranes!
Wear suitable protective clothing and use suitable tools!
ü Please observe the following notes:
a) Do not use a household vacuum cleaner! This device should fulfil the M device
classification (or a better one).
b) Switch on the machine suction unit!
c) Wear gloves, respiratory protection and protective glasses!
d) Do not smoke, eat or drink!
e) Dispose of the dusts environmentally compatible!
NOTE
Risk of severe contamination, possible malfunction of the machine!
The mechanisms for lateral pressing / vertical fixing must not be lubricated with oil or
grease! Always use the dry lubricants given in the lubricant table! Always use lubric-
ants in a suitable amount!
