4 System Requirements
The Support Media included in the installation package checks the necessary system requirements of
your system and installs these. Amongst others, e.g. Microsoft .NET Framework, the License Manager
and the Error Reporting tool.
The use of the Support Media 2.12 (R20-2) is obligatory.
The system requirements (supported operating systems and database variants) and an overview of the
interoperable products can be found in the ASM Support Media Version Description.
4.1 Installation Variants
SIPLACE Explorer provides three installation variants for the different components:
● Factory Layout Central Installation (CI)
● Factory Layout Distributed Installation (DI)
● Single Line Layout
We recommend that you use one of these installation variants for your system. For detailed information
about the installation and configuration process, refer to the document "SIPLACE Explorer Installation
and Configuration Manual”.
4.2 SIPLACE Explorer Server
The following system requirements apply for the installation variants Factory Layout Central Installation
(CI) and Factory Layout Distributed Installation (DI).
