SQL 2012 SP1 has a critical bug (KB2793634) which requires installing at least the Cumulative
Update 2 (CU2).
2.2 Download Version
This is the "reduced version" of Support Media and is very similar to the Full Version with a
reduced size. It only contains software that you will not find on the internet and will require the
download and installation of some files manually in some cases.

2.3 Languages
The following display languages are supported:
● English (with native English Windows version)
● German (with native English Windows version and German language pack)
The following language versions are supported:
● English version of the Microsoft SQL Server on the English version of Microsoft Windows.
● English version with German language pack of the Microsoft SQL Server on the English
version of Microsoft Windows with German language pack.
● English version with Chinese language pack of the Microsoft SQL Server on the English
version of Microsoft Windows with Chinese language pack.
Other display languages and language packs are not supported.
