Feedback
When this button is pressed, teaching result is applied to pick height of the
selected parts.
All Feedback
All teaching results are applied to pick height of all parts.
Clear
Teaching result of selected parts is cleared.
All Clear
All teaching results are cleared.
< Caution >
- These items are grayed out when the feeder or nozzle of selected parts is unsupported.
At executing [Auto Measure], such feeders and nozzles are skipped.
- At executing [Auto Measure], tray parts are skipped.
(▲3)
- Teaching results are maintained until board data is read.
< Note >
- Pick height teaching is performed one by one.
- It takes about 5 to 6 seconds per point with 8mm feeder, and with 20-30 seconds per point
with 12mm feeder and tray feeder. (Depends on parts type.)
3.2 12mm or larger feeders are supported
(▲2)
By measuring pick height of upper surface of the parts directly, differently from 8mm feeders,
it allows measurement of large parts that usually have several shapes of tape guides. How
to use this function is the same as 8mm feeders. (Refer to 3.1)
While using 12mm feeders, please make sure the following contents.
< NOTE >
- Parts size is up to 3.0×3.0×1.0 or smaller by default.
- Basically all nozzles are supported, but some nozzles, such as 0402 nozzle with very
small tip that makes high open vacuum, may not be used.
- To perform [Inner Pickup] for connector parts, you need to set [Parts]-[Pick]-[Nozzle Touch
Point Offset (mm)] properly before executing height measurement. This function
calculates pick height considering the [Nozzle Touch Point Offset (mm)] value. If this item
is blank at measurement, it is not possible to calculate the applicable pick height.
- When the measurement point and nozzles are touched with nozzle tip open, measured
result may not be accurate.
- When a 12mm or larger feeder is used, the “Ea24964: Will you feed 1 pitch for [Pick
Height Teach]?” is displayed before height measurement.

When you select [Yes], the feeder is fed at 1 pitch.
In the case of “Auto measurement”, the dialog is displayed only once, and all of the target
12mm or larger feeders are fed at 1 pitch. In that case, please note that a piece of parts
can be dumped.
When you select [No], the measurement starts without pitch feeding.

3.3 Trays are supported
(▲3)
By measuring pick height of upper surface of the parts directly, same as 12mm feeders, it
allows measurement of large parts that usually have several shapes of tape guides. How to
use this function is the same as 8mm and 12mm feeders. (Refer to 3.1) Pick height for tray
parts is measured by selecting parts positions on the tray. Select tray parts and press the
[Measure] button, then table 3.3 dialog is displayed. When you input a certain count on the
[Tray Counter] box and press “OK” button, the pick height of the tray on optional positions
are measured. The default is the count of current parts. For the parts which are mounted
over the several trays and pallets, the height measurement executes for the current trays
and current pallets.

While measuring pick height for tray parts, please make sure the following contents.
< NOTE >
- Parts size is up to 3.0×3.0×1.0 or smaller by default.
- Basically all nozzles are supported, but some nozzles, such as 0402 nozzle with very
small tip that makes high open vacuum, may not be used.
- [Tray Height], which is equal to pick height for tray parts, is calculated. It is necessary to

input [Body Size Z] accurately as [Tray Height] is calculated based on measured height
of parts above. When [Body Size Z] is not accurate, it is not possible to calculate the
applicable pick height.
- It is necessary to input parts pitch, tray pitch and pallet pitch accurately. If not, it is not
possible to measure the pick height at the correct position.
- [Auto Measure] is not supported. Tray parts are skipped.
- When the measurement point and nozzles are touched with nozzle tip open, measured
result may not be accurate.
3.4 Pick Height Take Over Function
When [TakeOver PickHeight] is enabled in the machine setting, “Pick Height” is taken over
to other board data, so that you do not need to perform pick height teaching for every
board data.
To take over pick height, the target parts need to be used for production, or the board data
is saved after pick height feedback. Target pick height is written and read through a
takeover file at reading board data, or when the feeder is removed and attached.
