Even after the [EMERGENCY STOP] switch is pressed, note that electrical power is supplied
to the control device.
To shutdown the power to all loads, set the power breaker to "OFF".
When "Emergency Switch Off" is required, it must be prepared outside the machine on the
customer side.
Emergency Switch Stop : Emergency Interception of Controlled Load Power Sources
Emergency Switch Off : Emergency Interception of All Load Power Sources
In principle, the overall operation of the machine including the button operations on the
operation panel and the touch screen must be controlled by only one person.
If there are more than one, ensure good communication by giving loud verbal instructions.
Before starting the automatic operation, check carefully that there is no person around the
machine (especially on the other side of the machine operation). Make sure that no objects
(tools, parts, etc.) are left behind.
Data may become unavailable due to breakdown or mishandling of the machine.
It is strongly recommended that the hard disk data be periodically backed up with the
network terminal (option).
Do not use the floppy disk drive in the control box. The drive is provided only for the
authorized maintenance personnel.
Be sure to strictly keep the above-mentioned instructions. Otherwise, not only wrong operations of
the machine but also personal injury will result.

Notes on Machine Operations
Please keep the instruction manual in a safe place within reach.
Follow the instructions in the instruction manual for correct handling of the machine.
Be sure to fully understand the contents of the safety instructions in the instruction manual
and follow the instructions.
Please pay special attention to the precautionary items labeled on the machine or
described in the instruction manual and be sure to keep them. When the precautionary
items are ignored, it will result in personal injury or property damage (damage to the
machine).
Be sure to follow the operational instructions described in the instruction manual.
Do not modify the machine nor use any parts other than the specified ones for the machine.
Be sure not to use the machine with its safety devices detached. Doing otherwise may
cause personal injury.
Also, be sure not to change the setting of the operating system nor install any software
additionally.
Do not perform any operations other than those described in the instruction manual.
Whenever a problem arises, regarding the machine operations, performance, etc., please
contact YAMAHA sales representatives.
This machine uses energetic driving systems and high voltage to run at high speed. This
power and voltage is high enough to cause death or serious injury. To avoid this danger,
respect the following guideline.
The machine must be used with the covers being attached.
Be sure to close the covers (door type) before operating the machine.
Do not disengage the interlock mechanism of the transparent covers (door type).
Whenever you feel danger or abnormality, immediately press the [EMERGENCY STOP]
switch to stop the machine. If the machine is kept running in abnormal condition, an
accident or a breakdown will result.
Confirm that the “LOCK” lamp (green) is ON on the operation panel before operating the
machine. If the “LOCK” lamp is not turned ON, the machine can be operated at any time
from both front and rear sides, endangering the operators around the machine.
When there is a problem with the machine, locate the cause and assess the condition. Set
the power breaker to “OFF.
After the problem has been rectified completely, reset the machine to its normal condition.
When the green lamp of the light tower is ON or flickering (ON and OFF), it indicates that
the static machine is in the “Automatic” mode (standby mode).
In case of a disaster of any kind, earthquake, storm, flood, fire, or lightning, immediately
stop the machine and turn off the power supply.
When the machine stops due to a component pickup error, be sure to remove the mispicked
component from the feeder and start the automatic operation.
Do not use any unspecified feeders.

Notes on Installation, Transfer and Maintenance
Do not install or transfer the machine on the customer side after shipment.
To ensure perfect operation of the machine, including safety and accuracy, only YAMAHA
sales representatives will install the machine or transfer it to another place.
Only the maintenance work on items described in this manual should be performed by the
customer. Please read the instruction manual carefully before maintenance work. Do not
perform any maintenance work on items that are not described in this manual. Otherwise,
not only breakdown of the machine but also personal injury may result.
When an alert label has deteriorated and become illegible, contact YAMAHA sales
representatives.
Only a well-trained service person should perform maintenance work carefully through for
the machine in compliance with the instructions.
Before the maintenance work, be sure to turn off the power breaker and lock them with
padlocks. Designate a person who can have charge of the padlock key.
Even when the power breaker is set to "OFF", the primary line is powered, making it
possible to cause an electric shock.
Be sure to completely stop the power supply to the machine before maintenance work.
Residual voltages may remain behind for a few minutes in the internal devices of the
machine after power interception.
Before performing maintenance work, wait until the charge lamps of the DC power supply
and the servo amplifier go "OFF" in 10 minutes or more after the power breaker is set to
"OFF".
Do not mount on the machine’s top surface. Otherwise, you might fall from it.
When you access inside the machine, work with care for things overhead.
