Installation
WARNING: Allow only qualified personnel to perform the following tasks.
Observe and follow the safety instructions in this document and all other
related documentation.
Transport
Transport the unit such as to prevent damage. Do not throw the unit. Use
suitable packing material, e.g. Styrofoam and sturdy cardboard. Refer to
Technical Data for weight.
Protect the unit from humidity, dust, jolts and vibrations.
Unpacking
Unpack the unit carefully to prevent damage. Then check for any damage
caused during shipping.
Save the packing material for later use. Otherwise reuse the material or
dispose of it properly according to local regulations.
Setup
Protect the unit from humidity, excessive dust accumulation and vibrations.
Do not block ventilation slits (1, Fig. 3-1).
Refer to Technical Data for dimensions.

Removal
Switch off the power supply (2). Then detach all electrical connections.
Storage
Pack the pressure controller in suitable packing material, e.g. Styrofoam
and sturdy cardboard. Protect from humidity, dust and extreme temperature
fluctuations (condensation).
Disposal
Dispose of properly according to local regulations.

Electrical Connections
Line Voltage
WARNING: The pressure controller LA 302 is designed to accommodate
the voltage stated on the unit port (1). It adapts to any voltage within the
given range.
1. Plug the power cable into the unit port (1) on the back of the pressure
controller.
2. Connect the power cable to the shockproof socket.

Encoder
The adhesive pressure is controlled as a factor of the production machine
speed. Thus an encoder (1) must be connected. A gear box connects it to
the production machine, and it delivers a pulse per mm.
