6.12 Default settings and final administration tasks for
the station computer
6.12.1 Default-Settings
- Screen area: 1024 x 786, 16777216 Colors, 60 Hz Refresh Frequency
- Time Zone: GMT (London, Edinburgh, Lisbon)
- Keyboard-Layout: German (Germany)
- Network Protocol: TCP/IP
- In addition to the default user groups of Windows XP, the following users and user groups will be
configured:
→ User: Operator, Siemens-Techniker, Einrichter
→ User groups: _Operator, _Einrichter, _Siemens-Techniker
6.12.2 Passwords
6.12.2.1 Administrator
After the unattended setup, the default password for the local administrator is MS128. Please assign a
new password for your administrator!
6.12.2.2 Operator
The default user „Operator“ has the default password “operator”. Please do not change the password.
Otherwise the automatic logon is not possible.
6.12.2.3 Engineer
The user „Einrichter“ will be used for further options. The default password is “einrichter”. This user
doesn’t have further rights!
6.12.2.4 Administrator Group
The user „ Siemens-Techniker “ is in the local administrator group. Don’t remove this user from the
group. Otherwise the Siemens Personnel can’t perform any maintenance. The SIPLACE Service
Personnel knows the password. Don’t change the password!
6.12.2.5 Other settings
The passwords never expire!
6.12.3 Interrupting an automatic login at the Station
To install new software (e.g. station software or machine controller) or to execute maintenance on the
operating system, you have to interrupt the automatic login. Please press the Shift key during the
reboot (blue screen) or during the logout.
To activate the automatic logon again, please login as Operator with the password operator.

6.13.1 Default settings

6.13.2 Passwords
6.13.2.1 Administrator
After the unattended setup, the default password will be MS128 for the local administrator. Please

The default user „plr“ has the default password plr. It is preferable but not necessary to leave this
password.
6.13.2.3 SIPLACEServices
The user „SIPLACEServices“ was created for the COM+ Components. Please don’t change the
password. Otherwise the necessary rights of the SIPLACEPro Components will be lost!
6.13.2.4 Administrator group
The local administrator group also has the user „SIPLACEAdmin“. Don’t remove this user from the
group. Otherwise the Siemens Personnel can’t perform any maintenance. The SIPLACE Service
Personnel knows the password. Don’t change the password!

1 Allgemeines
1.1 Lizenzbestimmung
Warnung:
Dieses Betriebssystem ist nur für den Einsatz auf SIPLACE Automaten sowie SIPLACE Pro
Rechner zulässig.
Diese CD-ROM enthält eine vorkonfigurierte Software mit der ein voreingestelltes Betriebssystem
auf Ihren Rechner der SIPLACE Familie installiert wird.
Die Ausführung dieser Software liegt allein in der Verantwortung der Siemens L&A AG
Die Betreuung für dieses Produkt wird bereitgestellt von der Siemens L&A AG.
1.2 Prozessablauf
Die vorliegende Anleitung beschreibt und erläutert den Einsatz des automatisierten Windows XP
Setup für SIPLACE-Stationsrechner und SIPLACE Pro Rechnern.
Das Verfahren wurde entwickelt, um eine möglichst schnelle, vollständige und anforderungsgerechte
Installation von Windows XP Professional auf Rechnern der SIPLACE Familie durchzuführen. Das
Verfahren kann auf allen PC-Systemen eingesetzt werden, die im Abschnitt 4 genannten
Voraussetzungen erfüllen und stellt eine schnelle und zuverlässige Alternative zum Standard-Setup
der Firma Microsoft dar. Das Verfahren unterstützt nur die englische (amerikanische) Sprachversion
von Windows XP Professional und wird auf einer bootfähigen CD-ROM geliefert, so dass nach dem
Systemstart automatisch mit der Ausführung des Setup-Verfahrens begonnen wird.
Hinweis:
Alle auf der primären Festplatte eines Systems gespeicherten Daten werden durch den Einsatz
des Verfahrens vernichtet. Deshalb ist vor der Durchführung des Setup unbedingt eine
Datensicherung vorzunehmen, wenn diese Daten weiterhin benötigt werden.
Die Benutzerführung durch das Verfahren erfolgt in englischer Sprache. Die entsprechenden
Bildschirmmeldungen sind in den folgenden Abschnitten jeweils abgebildet, beschrieben und
kommentiert.
Während der Installation werden vom Benutzer Eingaben zur Systemkonfiguration verlangt (siehe
Abschnitt „Erforderliche Parameter“).
