If it is necessary to work on the machine and you do not have adequately trained and autho-
rized personnel within your operation, always call in a service engineer from the manufac-
turer! The manufacturer will reject any claims, whatever the type, resulting from damage or
consequential damage caused by non-prescribed use!
If significantly hazardous situations come to the attention of the operating company during op-
eration of the docking station, including its interaction with the SIPLACE placement machine
or other connected modules, the operating company is obliged to inform the manufacturer of
this without delay and in writing, so that the manufacturer can take the relevant measures to
reduce the potential hazard.
2.1.3.2 Safety of operators and other persons
The operator of the machine may only perform those tasks for which he has been sufficiently
instructed and of which he has a good understanding.
The tasks defined in the user manual, for the individual operator roles during normal and spe-
cial operating mode, are to be adhered to.
Never open a protective door/protective cover on the docking station or on the SIPLACE
placement machine or other adjacent module, if you are not totally familiar with and have a
full understanding of the processes for and functioning of these machines!
The protective doors and covers on the docking station and the protective covers and panels
on the SIPLACE placement machine may only be opened if you need to do this for the current
work tasks and are requested to do so in the user manual, another instruction manual or on
the station computer screen or if the machine has been switched off, is disconnected from the
power and has been properly secured.
For your own safety, wear work clothes that conform to the guidelines of the professional as-
sociation or to the regulations of your country, i.e. safety shoes, hair net or no wide sleeves
etc.
Reduce the risks by not wearing scarves, chains or ties at your work post.
People with long hair must wear a protective head covering.
The docking station may not come into contact with sprayed water or other fluids. Cleaning
with wet tissues or cloths is prohibited. Any cleaning must be performed with dry tissues or
cloths.

WARNING
Dangerous voltage levels
The docking station is powered by electricity. When operating electrical devices, some
parts are always live with hazardous voltage levels!
Before you perform any tasks which do not belong to operation of the docking station,
such as service or maintenance work, switch the machine off at the main switch and un-
plug the applicable power cable from the mains power supply.
The docking station must be properly secured with a personal padlock on the main switch
and clearly marked before any service or maintenance work is performed, to prevent it
being inadvertently switched back on. The mains power cable must be secured to pre-
vent inadvertent reconnection! Perform all work with care after this.
Always observe the special safety instructions in the relevant manual when working on
electrical installations.
