4.5 ASM Production Planner in SIPLACE Pro Optimizer Toolkit
SIPLACE Pro supports Production Planner. Detailed information can be found in the ASM
Production Planner User Guide, item no. [00900196-xx].
4.6 New Nozzle Types for C&P20 P, C&P20 P2, and CPP Heads
The following new nozzle types have been introduced:
– Ceramic nozzles for LED centering for C&P20 P / C&P20 P2:
– 4064 / 6064, item no. [03218030-xx]
– 4065 / 6065, item no. [03218163-xx]
– 4113 / 6113, item no. [03215882-xx]
– Nozzle 2204 for CPP with new length (please refer to section 4.7.)
4.7 Changes of Nozzle Length for Nozzle 2204
The length of nozzle 2204 has changed from 15.0 mm to 14.8 mm.
NOTICE
The old nozzles with 15.0 mm length are no longer sold.
4.8 OSC Package - Enhancements
Detailed information on the OSC Package features can be found in the OSC Package User Guide,
item no. [00198374-xx].
The main enhancements made for the OSC Package Option in SIPLACE Pro are listed in the
overview below.
Supported Component Weight on Twin VHF Increased
The maximum weight of a component that can be placed with a Twin VHF has increased from
100 g (component + nozzle or gripper) to 240 g.
For components heavier than 100 g, new reduction options have been introduced. The acceleration
can now be reduced by 5%, 4%, 3%, 2%, and 1%, additionally to the reduction options already
implemented (100%, 75%, 50%, 25%, 10%).
Supported Component Height on Twin VHF Increased
The Twin VHF can place taller components using the “sequential placement” placement mode.
With this, the maximum body height of a component that can be placed with a Twin VHF has
increased from 38 mm to 46 mm (additional to 4 mm centering pins).

4.9 Placement Improvements – Automatic Pin 1 Recognition
To save time during placement, it is possible to limit the check period and check frequency per
component for the orientation check during position check.
For this, the Check pickup orientation on component change option in the Object Properties of
the Component Editor has been extended. If this option is activated, the check mode can be set to
either Manually by user or to Automatic. If the Automatic mode is selected, three further options
can be specified: the number of measurements, the checking period, and the check sequence.
4.10 Automatic Pitch Detection
The automatic pitch detection can be activated in the Feeder tab of the Component Editor via the
Auto pitch checkbox. In the new Cycle entry field, the number of cycles can be entered. The
range for the automatic pitch detection cycle is 50 – 5000, with a default value of 500. The
automatic pitch option is independent of the selected feeder.
4.11 Changing Users for a Running SIPLACE Pro Desk Session
The user privilege Log Off Other User has been introduced, with which it is possible to change the
user for a running SIPLACE Pro Desk instance without terminating the session.
The user can either be changed in a running SIPLACE Pro Desk session via the
Tools - Log On as An Other User option or the Log-on/Log-off option, or in a locked session via
the logon screen.

5 Restrictions
In the following, existing restrictions in SIPLACE Pro are described.
Miscellaneous
– 10-fold and 15-fold stick magazines cannot be combined on the same linear feeder.
– SIPLACE Pro object names (e.g., recipe) must not exceed 125 ASCII characters (including
folder names).
– If various users optimize the same job at the same time, the job which was most recently
completed successfully will overwrite all corresponding recipes.
– The board panel hierarchy must not exceed 10 levels.
– The object folder hierarchy must not exceed 10 levels.
– The operator must manually place manual tray carriers (Carrier 30, Carrier 51, Carrier X,
Carrier SX, Arbitrary Carrier), glue feeders, dip modules, reject conveyors and power
connectors in the initial setup.
– If you work with reduced acceleration for a component shape, this is seen as a "special case"
and the accuracy of 5% for the simulated Optimizer production time will not be achieved.
– The Optimizer does not check if the tray size is bigger than the carrier.
– The WPC can take up to 10 different component types per level.
Station-wise Download
– It is not possible to switch over from dual lane conveyor in asynchronous transport mode to
dual lane conveyor in synchronous transport mode (and vice versa) in combination with station-
wise download.
– When the line control server is rebooted, station-wise downloading will be canceled. After
rebooting, you will need to perform a complete line download to restart production.
– Station-wise downloading supports setup changes in asynchronous dual operation only when
you have the same definition for both lanes.
ASCII Centroid Import
If component shapes are selected in the ASCII Centroid Import Wizard, all the existing links
between components and component shapes will be overwritten with the imported information.
WPC5 / WPC6
– Components up to a height of 30mm can be placed with a force of 70N with the WPC5 as of
serial number 1485 and the WPC6 as of serial number C1486 only.
– Components up to a height of 40mm can be placed with the WPC5 as of serial number B3000
and the WPC6 as of serial number C3000.
– Due to the refill module, components > 25mm cannot be positioned on the levels 1 – 3 and
27 – 28 on the WPC6. The levels 4 – 28 will be set up automatically by the SIPLACE Pro
Optimizer. The levels 1 – 3 have to be blocked manually by the operator.
– If a pin picker is installed on the X4i S placement machine, the maximum board length is
410mm.
