3. Ejector unit
3.1 Replacing an ejector bit

Move the head unit forward.
1. Press the emergency stop button and
then open the machine safety cover.
2. Move the head unit forward.

Shut off the air supply.
Turn the air supply/exhaust switch inside the
machine lower left panel to the right to stop
the air supply.

Remove the baffle plate.
1. Place a square cloth under the head unit.
2. Remove the baffle plate with a hex
wrench.

Pull out the ejector bit manually.
Remove the cap by turning it to the left with
a hex wrench. The tip of the bit can be seen.
Pull out the it manually.

CAUTION
The removed bit cannot be reused. Reuse may cause
component pickup errors.

Clean the bit installation hole.
Remove dust or grime in the installation hole
using an air blow tool (optional purchase
part), lint-free cotton swab, etc.

Install a new bit.
Fit an O-ring to the new bit and install one
end of the bit into the cap. Then insert the
bit into the installation hole and close the
cap by turning it to the right.

CAUTION
If the bit cap is not locked in place, it may fly out when
vacuum is turned on. Always make sure that the bit is
securely installed.

CAUTION
When closing the cap after inserting the bit, be careful
not to let the O-ring come out.

Reattach the baffle plate.
1. Reattach the baffle plate at its original
position using the hex wrench.
2. Remove the square cloth.

Supply air to the machine.
Turn the air supply/exhaust switch inside the
machine lower left panel to the left, to start
the air supply.

Move the head unit forward.
1. Press the emergency stop button and
then open the machine safety cover.
2. Move the head unit forward.

Turn OFF the air supply and power
OFF the machine.
1. Quit the software and power OFF the
machine.
2. Turn the air supply/exhaust switch inside
the panel at lower left of the machine
clockwise to turn the air supply OFF.

Disconnect the connectors of the
ejector harness.
1. Place a square cloth below the head.
2. Disconnect all connectors of the ejector
harness.

Remove the valve (solenoid valve).
Use a precision Phillips screwdriver to loosen
the 2 screws mounting the valve (solenoid
valve) and remove it.

Attach a new valve (solenoid valve).

CAUTION
A gasket is attached on the back of the valve. Be
careful not to drop and pinch the gasket when
replacing with a new valve.

Reconnect the ejector harness.
1. Connect the harness’ connector for
ejector on its original place.
2. Remove the square cloth.

Supply air to the machine and
power on the machine.
Start the machine and perform return-to-
origin.
8
Check the operation.
On the [Unit] - [Head] screen, press the
[Vacuum] and [Blow] buttons to check that
no abnormal values appear.

3.3 Replacing the cleaning blow valve

Move the head unit forward.
1. Press the emergency stop button and
then open the machine safety cover.
2. Move the head unit forward.

Turn OFF the air supply and power
OFF the machine.
1. Quit the software and power OFF the
machine.
2. Turn the air supply/exhaust switch inside
the panel at lower left of the machine
clockwise to turn the air supply OFF.

Disconnect the connectors of the
cleaning blow valve.
1. Place a square cloth below the head.
2. Remove the connector for the blow
valve.

CAUTION
When disconnecting the connector, do not pull the
harness.

Remove the cleaning blow valve.
Use a precision Phillips screwdriver to loosen
the 2 screws mounting the cleaning blow
valve and remove the blow valve.

Attach a new blow valve.

CAUTION
A gasket is attached on the back of the valve. Be

replacing with a new valve.

Connect the connector.
1. Connect the connector to its original
place.
2. Remove the square cloth.

Supply air to the machine and
power on the machine.
Start the machine and perform return-to-
origin.

Check the operation.
Follow the same procedure as described in
chapter 3,"4.3 Operation check of head
blow valve and cleaning blow valve" to
check the valve operation.
