1.2.2 Single Line Layout - Line Server
1.2.2.1 Hardware
We recommend using an Econel 100. If your system uses other hardware, this hardware must
meet the following requirements: 1
– 3.2 GHz processor

– 160 GB available hard-disk space
–DVD ROM drive
Systems using low performance hardware may only deliver reduced process performance. 1
1.2.2.2 Software

– SQL Server 2005 Express Edition included on the Support Media DVD
– Java Runtime Environment (J2SE RTE 6.0 update 1 or SDK 6.0),

The following versions are supported but if problems should occur, you will need to update these
versions to those shown above. 1

The following version is supported but if problems should occur, you will need to update it to the

– SW 503.04 SP 2: This version is only suitable if an update to SW 505.xx is not possible due to
hardware restrictions.
1.3 Additional Remarks
SIPLACE Explorer Version 2.4 has the following restrictions: 1
– Restriction due to NPI mode
SIPLACE Explorer V2.4 is unable to use data from SIS for boards which are marked as "SA"
(stand-alone). This means that the following information is not available for boards marked with
"SA":
– Component name
– Component shape
– Feeder type
The following SMA pages show limited data due to the "Stand-alone" mode: 1

– Factory Layout:
A SIPLACE Explorer host (the computer on which SIPLACE Explorer "Runtime Environment"
is installed) can monitor five production lines with up to 20 stations.
– Single Line Layout
A SIPLACE Explorer host (the computer on which SIPLACE Explorer "Runtime Environment"
is installed) can monitor one production line with up to 7 stations.
– For performance reasons, we recommend that you do not generate reports for all websites and
report types at once. Try to run the report generation at a time when there is no production op-
eration e.g. at the weekend.
