6.1.1 Squeegee Functionality
The Squeegee is fixed onto the print carriage and moves in Y-direction over the stencil. It works
with 2 stepper motors one each for front and rear Z movement.
As an option the squeegee pressure can be measured during the print cycle.
During production the squeegee pressure is measured and, if necessary, will be automatically
adjusted. This is done using a strain gauge which is built into the rear part of the squeegee head.
The pressure measurement can be activated or deactivated in the machine settings.

2. Front squeegee home sensor
3. Front squeegee holder
4. Rear squeegee holder
5. Rear squeegee home sensor
6. Strain gauge unit

6.1.1.1 Reference run / Homing sequence
During the reference run the system is initialized. The squeegee drives slowly upwards
towards the home sensor until the sensor is activated.
Then the motor changes direction and moves away until the sensor is deactivated.
The motor stops and the home is reached.
1. Micro Switch
2. Inductive Sensor
 NOTICE!
Depending on machine build date 2
different sensors are used. The
functionality remains the same.
