12. MAINTENANCE
Follow the safety notes in chapter 1!
Risk of injury due to improper maintenance!
Switch off the mains voltage before opening the cooling unit!
12.1 Maintenance safety notes
• Maintenance work must only be performed by trained specialist personnel that has
been authorized by the operator.
• Ensure that sufficient space is available before commencing work.
• Always ensure that the working area is clean and tidy. Any objects, components,
workpieces, tools or cleaning equipment scattered around the area represent potential
sources of accidents.
• If components have been replaced, check that spare parts have been fitted correctly.
Install all fastening elements in the correct manner.
• Before recommissioning, ensure that all safety devices have been correctly installed
and are fully functional.
• Prior to reactivation, ensure that there are no persons within the danger area of the
machine.
Risk of injury due to residual energy!
• Before commencing any work, deactivate the complete power supply and secure it
against reactivation.
• Safely remove any residual energy.
• Before commencing work, ensure that the components are free of all energy
(e.g. electricity, pressure, spring tension).
• Protect switchgear against reactivation.
Residual energy can result in dangerous situations while working, such as electric shock or violent,
uncontrolled movement of components, which in turn can lead to serious injury.
