5 Tasks at the nozzle cleaning station
5.1 Filling and draining the Container
The cleaning of SIPLACE ceramic nozzles requires 3 different liquids and runs in 4 steps.
Nozzle tip cleaning (KG15+ from ASM)
Nozzle tip rinsing (Demi water)
Nozzle shaft cleaning (Vigon SC)
Nozzle drying (compressed air)
All liquids must be replaced frequently as they saturate more and more over the time used. The
cycle time to exchange the liquids depends heavily on the surrounding conditions and the degree
of pollution. In average they should be exchanged after 1000 – 1500cycles.

5.1.1 Container for demineralized water
The demineralized water containers are in the lower part at the back of the NCS.
DANGER
Risk of damage / life!
Before changing the cleaning modules, stop the machine operation and disconnect it from
the power supply with the main power switch.
CAUTION
Hazardous material
The demi in the wastewater container can contain residues of KG15+, solder paste and
metal particles from components.
Observe the applicable safety data sheet and consider existing local regulation for dis-
posing of hazardous materials.
NOTICE
Level control
The level in the demi container is sensor controlled. If the level drops below the sensor the
NCS stops operation.
Make sure that there is enough liquid in the container.
