TROUBLESHOOTING
The following table contains some of the most common problems that may be
encountered and is by no means exhaustive:
Fault Cause Solution
Rippled product on transport system Product reel not setup square within
machine
1. Realign product reel
2. Check gap between Inroad product
guides and product reel
3. Check gap between outroad trans-
port clamps and product reel
Fiducials not found Incorrect fiducial alignment Reset fiducials
Product fiducial creep exceeds
machine’s capability
If creep is outside of machine’s capabil-
ity, investigate product reel, change
product reel
Index length incorrect Adjust index length
Machine fails to pull enough product
through on first print, causing 'averag-
ing' calculation to be incorrect
Ensure there is no slack in the product
reel after the print area and reset fidu-
cials
Too much tension on product 1. Ensure there is slack, in the product
reel, before the print station
2. Ensure there is slack between the
outroad transport clamps and the
downline machine
Loss of vacuum Tooling plates not properly secure Ensure the tooling plates and all fittings
are secured
Vacuum covers not fitted correctly Ensure that the vacuum covers are cov-
ering the redundant holes on the inner
and outer transport vacuum plates.
Offset image print Screen centre not in line with tooling
centre
Reset screen alignment - Setup Prod-

Image smudging Alignment of screen and tooling incor-

Check centre of the product is in line
with centre of the tooling
Backoff too small causing product reel
