Greasing the Height Adjustment Spindle
2.4.5 Greasing the Height Adjustment Spindle
► Use the software to move the WPC tower into the transport position.
► Switch the WPC off and unplug the power cable.
► Carefully remove the WPC from the placement machine.
► Crank the WPC up and down twice, to distribute the grease.
► Crank the WPC up to its top position.
► Wipe any residual grease away with a dry cloth.
► Return the crank handle to its fixtures.
► Remove the crank handle from the crank fixtures (1).
► Insert the height adjustment crank handle into the
spindle (2).
► Crank the WPC up to its top position.

► Clean the height adjustment spindle (1), by wiping it
dry from below with a lint-free cloth.
► Use a short-bristled brush, for example, to apply a
small amount of grease (ISOFLEX TOPAS NCA 52)
to the spindle.

2.4.6 Cleaning the Feeder Axis Sliding Rails
► Use the software to move the WPC tower into the transport position.
► Switch the WPC off and unplug the power cable.
► Carefully remove the WPC from the placement machine.

► Check all waffle pack trays (WPT) for damage. Replace any bent WPTs.
► Clean the WPTs with a cloth and ethanol.

► Wipe the whole length of the feeder axis sliding rails
with a dry cloth.
► Check the feeder axis sliding rails for obvious
contamination or damage.
DANGER
Bent WPTs can cause damage to the WPC.
► Check the fiducials used to define the pickup position.
There are two small holes drilled in the feeder axis.
These should be undamaged, free of contamination
and should have good contrast (dark circle, light
background).
► Clean the fiducials with a cloth and ethanol.

Check the Ma chine Safety
2.4.10 Check the Machine Safety
Check the safety features.
► Connect the WPC to the placement machine.
► Start the WPC continuous run.
► During operation, press the emergency stop button on the WPC, while a WPT is being changed. The
WPC and the placement machine should come to an immediate standstill.
► Start the WPC continuous run.
► During operation, open the plexiglass door on the WPC, while a WPT is being changed. The WPC
axes must come to an immediate standstill.
► Start the WPC continuous run.
► During operation, press the emergency stop button on the placement machine, while a WPT is being
changed. The WPC should come to an immediate standstill.
► Check the plexiglass door for damage. If large parts of the plexiglass door have broken off, the door
is no longer a reliable safety cover. In this case, replace the door.
► Make sure that the actuator for the safety switch on the plexiglass door has been screwed into place
tightly.
► Check the connection plugs, tension reliefs and cable hoses (power and data cables) for damage. If
necessary, replace these or contact SIPLACE Service.
► Unscrew the right-hand cover plate.
► Check whether the fan can be turned in the control
unit. To do this, switch on the WPC. If you look into
the control unit from below, you should be able to see
whether the fan turns or not. If the fan does not turn,
contact SIPLACE Service.
CAUTION! Risk of injury
Do not reach into the fan from below.
NOTICE
Filter mats/air filter
There are no filter mats/air filters installed in the WPC.

The WPC may only be operated when all safety features are in place and fully functional.
► If the safety of the WPC is no longer guaranteed, contact SIPLACE Service without delay.
