You will need the following tools and consumables for maintaining the sleeves. 9
– Laboratory gloves
– Ethyl alcohol
– Lint-free cloths
– Cottonwool buds
– Microtips (cottonwool buds)
– Drill bit, 1.1 mm
– Drill bit, 1.4 mm
– Fin Grease spray grease
– UNISILKON L250L
– Suction plate
SIPLACE sleeve maintenance:
12-segment C&P head (item no. 00375681-01). 9

a Check the film for damage.
If the film is damaged, send the sleeve to SIPLACE Sleeve Maintenance.

s Spray a little Teflon grease into a suitable container.
Moisten the cottonwool bud with Teflon grease.
Do not spray the Teflon grease directly from the spray can to avoid over-application, and thus
damage to the placement head!

Only use ethyl alcohol for cleaning. Do not use surgical spirit otherwise smearing will occur on the
incremental disk. 9
Do not use silicone-soluble cleaning agents. 9
9
d Run the lightly moistened cottonwool bud along the link of the anti-rotation element.
9
f Check that the switching ring can be moved easily in the sleeve.
The unit that is moved must not catch or run jerkily.
If this is not the case after greasing, send the sleeve to SIPLACE Sleeve Maintenance.

a Remove any dirt from the long vacuum hole by turning a 1.4 mm drill bit clockwise in the hole.
Turning the bit will remove the dirt from the hole.
s Remove the dirt from the transverse vacuum hole using the 1.1 mm drill bit.

Wear laboratory gloves to carry out this step. 9

d Check the suction plate for damage.
Replace it if it is damaged.
d Clean the sleeve suction plate using a dry, lint-free cloth.
