Connecting Grounding Cable between Machine and Ground
=HINT=
As machine is of safety ground structure, grounding is of importance for prevention of troubles such as
electric shock, fire and malfunction.
4.
1. How to ground
=SPECIFICATION=
Use the grounding cable of which cross-sectional area is equal to or larger than that of main power
supply cable.
200V class Ground cable size
Up to 10KVA 5.3 mm

=REMARKS=
EN standard requires the cross-sectional area of grounding cable to be equal to or larger than that
of power supply cable of machine.
Do not relay the grounding cable.
Perform class 3 (class D) grounding work.
Grounding should satisfy the requirements of the local electrical laws.
=SPECIFICATION=
Ground resistance (between machine and ground): 100Ω or below
The following conditions are required for arrangement of grounding cable.
Keep the ground cable wiring as far apart as possible from the I/O wiring of noise-sensitive
equipment and set the parallel distance as short as possible.

3.3.1 Checking Safety Switches
Make sure that the following safety devices function properly.
== Refer to ‘SAFETY PRECAUTIONS’ for the locations of the switches.
Emergency stop switch
Safety interlock switch (Front cover, loader and unloader)
Overrun limit switch
How to Check
Emergency stop switch:
Pressing the emergency stop switch will stop the machine immediately.
The message of safety stop appears on the screen.
When the machine has been stopped, release the emergency stop switch and press <START> to reset
the safety stop. The machine returns to the state immediately before the safety interlock switch is
opened.
Safety interlock switch:
If the safety interlock switch is opened, the machine stops immediately. (Safety stop status)
“Safety stop” will appear on the screen.
Close the safety interlock switch when the power is OFF, and press the <START> key to disengage
the safety stop status. This restores the machine to the state immediately before the safety interlock
switch is opened.
Overrun limit switch:
Turning the <SERVO> OFF and moving X, Y, or Z axes toward - (minus) direction by hand will open
the overrun limit switch. At this time, check the machine is stopped due to an error.
Returning the moved axes and turning OFF the main switch, then restart the machine.
