Preparing the machine for production involves a step-by-step sequence. Following the correct sequence will ensure quick
and trouble free product changeovers.
Preparation
Tick off each of the following items as you complete them:
Whilst discussing the best method of preparing the printer with your instructor review the set up procedures in your
machine operator manual
Demonstration
Given a complete set of production hardware and using the operator manual as a guide, setup the printer ready for
production. Complete the steps in the following order and tick off each item as you complete them:
Log on
Load an existing product file
Setup tooling

7 Inspect condition of process hardware
Reference: Operator best working practices manual
Prior to using any process hardware it should inspected to ensure it is fit for function. i.e. Clean and free from damage
and it is the correct specification as defined by the process design.
Failure to do this may result in machine error messages and print defects.
Preparation
Tick off each of the following items as you complete them:

Demonstration
Given a selection of process hardware and with reference to the BWP manual perform the following actions. Tick off each
one as you complete them:
Select the appropriate hardware for the product file to be printed.
Inspect the hardware to ensure it is fit for function
