PCB and head mapping 2
During system acceptance, the HS-60 is mapped as before, i.e.: 2
Single conveyor with the mapping test board 520 x 460 (item no.: 00325743-02) 2
Dual conveyor with the mapping test board 520 x 380 (item no.: 00375916S01) (for each conveyor
track) 2
If there is demand for the Wide board for the HS-60, then the following mapping test boards should
be used: 2
Single conveyor "mapping test board HF 508x450“(00373952-01) 2
2.2 Restrictions for the HS-60 / D4 with "Wide HS-60"
For individual products (PCBs), the reduced distance between the gantries and the resulting
waiting times can lead to slight deviations in the actual placement rate compared to the place-
ment rate calculated in SIPLACE Pro. This applies particularly if there are a large number of
placement positions near the newly set stationary side wall and if the gantry used for place-
ment is not using the optimum path. This can be minimized using the placement sequence.
Feeder modules: Only feeder modules from the S series can still be fitted. Linear feeders, bulk
case feeders, manual trays and all special design or third-party modules are not permitted. The
widening of the placement area causes the pick-up and placement areas to overlap. Linear
feeders, manual trays, MTCs and TrayStak feeders are not regarded as standard feeders. This
is not checked by the programming system and it is thus the responsibility of the customer to
carry out this check.
The synchronous dual conveyor is not possible with this configuration since the wrong offset
would be used for the calculation in the programming system.
2
More maintenance is required since the grease nipples on the guide carriages were replaced
with grub screws in order to avoid a crash. The grease nipples on the guide carriages must be
refitted temporarily in order to maintain the guide carriages. The grease nipples should be re-
moved once more after the maintenance. This is the responsibility of the customer.
In this configuration, the ceramic substrate centering feature and special designs already fitted
to the lifting table are not possible. Adaptation based on a special design is available upon re-
quest.
On the dual conveyor with "Wide HS-60“ and single conveyor configuration, the conveyor width
is limited to 380 mm rather than the 430 mm which is mechanically possible.
There is no productivity lift available for this option.

Conveyor options: The extended conveyor cannot be modified if conveyor options are installed
on the PCB conveyor that prevent the stationary side wall being moved. Options or special de-
signs, such as ceramic substrate centering or vacuum tooling, which are permanently installed
on the lifting table, are not possible with 242 mm/508 mm conveyor widths.
PCB alignment and Long board are still supported.

2.5 Safety instructions
WARNING
The safety instructions from the “Operational safety” chapter of the user manual and servicing in-
structions take precedence over these instructions. 2
The SIPLACE placement machines are supplied with mains voltage.
Consequently parts of these systems carry dangerous voltages! This voltage is present at certain
modules inside the machine base, even when the machine is switched off at the main power
switch.
Incorrect handling of the placement machine or touching live parts of the machine can result in
death or severe injury, and considerable damage to equipment.
BEFORE starting any work, shut down the operating system correctly, then switch the machine
OFF at the main power switch and disconnect from the main power supply. In addition, the com-
pressed air supply must be switched off at the compressed air unit's main valve in the machine
base and vented by actuating the needle valve on the compressed air unit.
There is DANGER for heart pacemaker wearers in the vicinity of the linear motors, as described
in detail in the "Special safety instructions for working in the vicinity of strong magnetic fields"
section of the user manual and service manual.
Always follow the accident prevention regulations, DIN or other standards and special safety
rules applicable in your country.
Pay attention to the information concerning residual voltages in the Operational Safety chapter.
Follow the ESD regulations as described in the operational safety section of the operating
instructions.
During the retrofit, always secure the machine to prevent access by other people and to prevent
it being switched on again. The procedure is described in the “Locking the machine…” section of
the user manual.
Working with the SITEST program further increases the risk of accident.
The SITEST program must only be used by authorized and trained personnel.
