15.4Cleaning Out the Waste Tape Box (Every 8 Hours)
Tape cut by the waste tape cutter travels through a tube to the waste tape
box. Empty the waste tape box every eight hours, as a large amount of
waste tape collects after eight hours of production. When cleaning out the
waste tape box, check the filter above it, and, if necessary, clean the filter
with a vacuum cleaner.

15.5Cleaning the Tape Suction Path (Every 8 Hours)
After the end of the tape is cut off by the cutter, it is drawn into the
suction path in the course indicated by the arrows. If this area becomes
blocked by waste tape, tape feed will be impeded and part pick-up will be
unreliable. Inspect this area for blockage if tape feed abnormalities cause
pick-up errors during automatic production.
Under normal operation the tape suction path should be cleaned out
every eight hours.

15.6Cleaning the Prism Surfaces (When Replacing Tape)
Oil or dirt on the surfaces of the prisms can lead to problems such as
reduced light strength and distortion of the image. Wipe the prism
surfaces clean with clean gauze once a week.
