SIPLACE X Tape Feeder Modules
SIPLACE X tape feeder
modules are intelligent tape
feeder modules for flexible
production environments.
They greatly simplify set-up
and conversion tasks. All
SIPLACE X feeder modules
support tape splicing as stan-
dard, which prevents
machine stoppages when
refilling.

Conversion-friendly
• All SIPLACE X tape feeder
modules are designed as
single-lane feeder mod-
ules. This minimizes any
restrictions during conver-
sion.
• Conversion is fast and
straightforward, and can
even be done during a
production run.
• Omega profiles on both
the tape feeder module
and the table allow the
tape feeder modules to be
attached and removed
while production is run-
ning.
Operator-friendly
• Contactless data and
power transmission make

• Menu-driven LCD display
supports the operator with

• A multicolor status display
signals the operating sta-
tuses of the X tape feeder
module:
- Green: “Standby/Set-up
in progress”
- Orange: “Component
running out”
- Red: “Fault”
- LED off: “Tape feeder
module is not in current
set-up and may be
removed”

• Brushless motors extend
the service life of the X
tape feeder modules.
Intelligent
• A unique tape feeder mod-
ule ID ensures that the
component is assigned
exactly to the tape feeder
module. This makes reli-
able set-up verification
very simple.
• Component pitch, feeding
speed and other functions
are set automatically
when you download the
set-up program.
High feeding accuracy
• Closed-loop control dis-
tance measurement guar-
antees highly accurate
component feeding, even

Description
Linear vibratory feeders are
used to process components
in stick magazines. They are
easy to set up on the
SIPLACE X component
changeover table using the X
adapter. They can be refilled
without stopping the
machine. The adapter X
allows both the label pre-
senter module and the
reject conveyor to be set up
on the SIPLACE X compo-
nent changeover table.
The linear dipping unit is suit-
able for dip-fluxing flip-chips,
CSPs (chip-scale/size pack-
ages) and for wetting flip-chip
bumps with isotropic, con-
ductive adhesive.
