4.4 Machine files
There are 2 databases in Version 601 of the software, MA-Daten.mdb and MA-Achsen.mdb.
Machine-related configuration, measurement and parameter data is stored in *.XML files and *.MA
files. The MA-Daten.mdb database contains all standard data except the standard data for the axes.
This data is stored in the MA-Achsen.mdb database.

level 60 (version 60.601.02). Current machine data must not
be replaced by revision levels o

an earlier version, either completely or partially, e.g. revision level 50 (version 50.505.01).

4.5 Installing the machine controller on a CPU076 (SIPLACE X-
series)
4.5.1 BIOS setup
The CPU buffers the current CMOS settings in a flash EPROM. If the CMOS settings are lost, they
will be restored from the flash settings on the next power-up.
Note:
For a detailed description of the BIOS, see the technical description CPCI-/SMP16-CPU076.
Settings marked in blue, bold and italics have been changed from the default BIOS settings.
4.5.1.1 IDE Primary/Secondary Master/Slave

The device parameters are automatically determined when the system is
started.
Manual The device parameters can be entered by hand (only in Access Mode CHS).

No IDE device has been connected or a connected device is to be ignored.

LBA Hard disks > 528MB which support Logic Block Addressing mode (LBA).
CHS Hard disks < 528MB
Large Hard disks > 528MB which do not support Logic Block Addressing mode
(LBA).
Auto is set by default.
If Manual and CHS are selected for the device, the disk parameters can be entered.
