SIPLACE JTF-M
– Supported on the SX1/SX2 V2, X4i S micron and the SIPLACE X-series S placement machines
only.
– On the SX1/SX2 V2 placement machine no tape feeder can be placed on the location beside
the JTF-M because no empty tape channel is available.
SIPLACE Wafer Systems
– Supported on the CA-series placement machines only.
– A specific table is required.
Binning can be disabled in SIPLACE Vision
– If binning is disabled in SIPLACE Vision, the measuring in the simulation result of the
optimization will probably take a little longer.
External virtual ink spot handling
– Only possible for stations from station software version 707.0 on.
– Physical and virtual ink spot must not be mixed.
– The board must not contain any active ink spots.
CPP / Twin Head placement heads on SIPLACE CA series
– Stationary cameras may be installed on location 1 and 3 only.
– Twin Head may be installed on location 3 only.
– The CPP placement head is only supported in the high position on SIPLACE Wafer Systems.
Restrictions in the Production Schedule
PCB barcode mode is not supported.
Spring placement process
The board top edge position has to be constant from board to board to allow absolute placement.
Variable board warpages cannot be compensated.
Measuring and changing the component height measured by the component sensor at the
station
– Only for placement heads that are equipped with a component sensor.
– Only for nozzle and component combinations in which the component height is supposed to be
measured with the component sensor.
– The component sensor will not perform any measurement if the component height
measurement is omitted due to SIPLACE Pro rules.

Conveyor Tray Carrier X
– No travel range check.
– No pickup simulation.
– The Conveyor Tray Carrier X uses one track on an X-table virtually. If the real table should be
completely occupied, the operator might have to remove a feeder from the table to create place
for the virtual feeder.
– No I-Placement mode.
– The SIPLACE Pro Optimizer does not consider the time it takes to fill up a tray with
components and change it.
Individual barcode fiducials
– Barcode fiducials in trays are not supported.
– Barcode fiducials on the component underside are not supported because in this case the
barcode is read before the component is picked up.

6 Troubleshooting
Error Reporting Tool
The Error Reporting Tool allows you to transfer detailed information about any errors occurring in
SIPLACE Pro to the service team. For more information about this function, refer to section 8.1
SIPLACE Net Error Reporter Service, the Online Help or the Support Media DVD.
Error Reports with the SIPLACE Net Error Reporter Service
The SIPLACE Net Error Reporter Service can be started as follows:
– Via Start – Programs – SIPLACE Net – Enterprise Service – SIPLACE Net Error Reporter
Service
– Via the Strg+Alt+F10 key combination.
– Via Help – Error Reporting in the menu of the GUIs.
Follow the instructions on the screen.
6.1 Problems and Solutions
This section describes known circumstances and general problems. If applicable, troubleshooting
is provided to help you working with SIPLACE Pro.
Solving Problems in Workgroup Mode
If you operate SIPLACE Pro in workgroup mode and if e. g. during the startup of the SIPLACE Pro
LineControl GUI application a message is displayed stating that:
It was not possible to establish a connection to the SIPLACE Pro
Interface. The cause for the error was: Unknown error (0x80004005).
► Check, if the following password requirements are met:
– The local user data must also be set up on the workgroup server.
– The local user must have the same password as on the workgroup server.
Printing SIPLACE Pro Reports
The generated reports can be sorted by various criteria (such as placement list etc.). Within the
printing preview the sort criteria can be modified as well.
► Check your specific printer properties (e.g. borderless printout) if you have printing problems
when printing reports.
Backup of System Feeder Inventory
When upgrading SIPLACE Pro (starting with SIPLACE Pro 3.0) an updated system feeder
inventory is imported (SystemFeederInventory.xml) in order to consider all new feeder types. The
feeder inventory that is already existing in SIPLACE is renamed (Backup of System Feeder
Inventory_X). All existing jobs are not changed.
All new jobs contain the updated (newly imported) feeder inventory.
