1.7.2 Open Cover
When the front cover on the printer is opened, any items marked as unverify on open cover must
be verified. The Print button is disabled until all items have been verified.
NOTE
The item information can be entered using the handheld barcode reader or the keyboard. In the fol-
lowing procedure, the barcode reader is used.
To verify the items, use the following procedure:
1. Open the front cover.
The following page is displayed showing the items that must be verified:
2. Select the first item in the list, in this example, Print Medium.
3. Scan the barcode on the paste pot or paste cartridge.
4. Select Verify Barcode.
The item in the list is marked as Verified.
5. Repeat Steps 2 to 4 for all the other items.
6. Once all the items have been verified, close the front cover.
7. Press the System button.

1.7.3 Replenishment
During printing, certain items need replenishment as they expire, wear out or empty. This may be
indicated by an action selection displayed on the screen or indicated by a poor print quality.
To replace a replenishment item, use the following procedure:
1. Open the front cover.
2. Remove the item that needs replenishment.
3. Scan the new item that is to be fitted to the printer.
4. Fit the item.
5. When the front cover was opened, any items marked as unverify on open cover must be re-
verified. Scan these items.
6. Close the front cover.
7. Press the System button.
