5.10 Enhanced SIPLACE Vision Functionality
NOTICE
Detailed information on the SIPLACE Vision functions can be found in the online help of
the station software.
SIPLACE Vision has been enhanced as follows:
– The QR barcode type is supported. All QR barcodes of the 18004 ISO/IEC norm with format
Model 2 are supported.
Compatible mode: Compatible
– To avoid that an incorrect barcode is read for traceability purposes, the user can define
conditions for the barcode in the Vision system. If a barcode does not fulfill all conditions, the
Vision system looks for another barcode with valid conditions in the region of interest. The
conditions are saved in SIPLACE Pro.
Compatible mode: Hidden
– The Component Shape wizard supports teaching groups and regular grids of THT round pins
and THT square pins.
Compatible mode: Compatible
– The new SST48 and SST49 camera types are supported. Please also refer to section 4.3.
Compatible mode: Hidden
– Improved display of measuring steps on the GUI.

Restrictions
– For larger feeders, the camera is positioned very close to the edge of the travel range.
Therefore, only a part of the component might be visible during pickup position teaching.

can be found in the respective machine specifications and/or User Manuals of the placement
machines.
