Concerning Storage
Basic items to be observed with regard to the storage of the Tape Feeder are as follows
Cautions against tape feeder storage and tape feeder reel replacement
Do not replace or keep reels with tape feeders being stacked.
The components of the tape feeder may be damaged or deformed.
Do not pile feeders up on one another
Do not store the feeders in places where temperature and humidity level are high
Do not keep tape feeders in a place with temperatures higher than 40°C or high
humidity. If the tape feeder becomes rusty or the circuit board has moisture, an error
may occur to the driving module or electronic circuits.
Do not store the feeders in places where temperature and humidity level are high

Do not store feeders in a location where magnetism is generated
Do not keep tape feeders in a place where magnetism is generated. If the area from
which a part is picked up in the tape feeder is magnetized, a part feeding error may
occur.
Do not store feeders in a location where magnetism is generated
Do not store feeders in the place where there is the presence of oil and organic solvents
Do not keep tape feeders in a place where oil or organic solvent exists. The tape feeder
may be damaged or reel components may be damaged if stained with oil or organic
solvent or a defect may occur to a PCB.
Do not store feeders in the place where there is the presence of oil
Avoid collision
Exercise care so that the tape feeder does not collide with another tape feeder or other
materials. The tape feeder may be damaged, causing its performance to be reduced.
Avoid collision

Preface
v
Do not store the feeders in a location where vibration exists
Do not keep tape feeders in a place subject to serious vibration. If the joints at which
tape feeder components are connected become loose, an error may occur to the driving
module or electronic circuits.
Do not store the feeders in a location where vibration exists
Avoid dusty locations
Do not keep tape feeders in a place with lots of dust. If dust gets into the tape feeder, it
may not operate properly.
Avoid keeping feeders in dusty locations
