2.1 Overview

This section provides basic safety information necessary for operating Nordson YESTECH™ X2 / X3

AXI Systems. This section covers the following topics:

To further optimize safe X2 / X3 AXI System operation, precautions and recommended practices are

included with the procedures throughout this manual.

Unsafe equipment conditions can result in personal injury or property damage.

Failure to properly operate and maintain the system in accordance with this manual

could cause the built-in safety features to be ineffective.

 NOTE Safety is considered a joint responsibility between the original equipment manufacturer

(Nordson YESTECH) and the end-user (owner). All safety precautions and practices

should be in accordance with local regulations and facility policy.

2.2 Facility Requirements

To ensure optimal performance and safety, it is necessary to install the Inline X-ray system in a facility

that meets the necessary requirements. See 29.2 Facility Requirements for detailed information. If you

have any questions, please contact Nordson YESTECH Technical Support.

2.3 Intended Use

Use of Nordson YESTECH equipment in ways other than those described in the documentation supplied

with the equipment may result in injury to persons or damage to property. Some examples of unintended

use of equipment include:

 Using the system to x-ray living

organisms

 Making unauthorized modifications

 Removing or bypassing safety guards or

interlocks

 Using incompatible or damaged parts

 Using unapproved auxiliary equipment
