2.2 Target Group and Safety
2.2.1 Target Group
The service and monitoring software CACCIA has been designed for service technicians.
Observe safety guidelines when handling the machine.
2.2.1.1 User Classification
The service technician is trained and authorized to perform service work and machine
conversions/backfitting.
2.2.2 Safety Instructions
WARNING
The CACCIA test program may only be installed and operated by SIEMENS L&A service
personnel. Inappropriate use of CACCIA will cause severe damage to the machine and put the
operating personnel at risk.
WARNING
Always observe the operating safety guidelines as specified in the currently valid service manual
for the SIPLACE machine concerned.
WARNING
Always observe the ESD guidelines whenhandling ESD assemblies. Please refer tothe operating
manual for the relevant SIPLACE machine.

2.3 Scope of Delivery
The CACCIA program is supplied with the following two software and hardware packages and is
for use by service personnel only. These packages contain the following software, hardware and
documentation items:
– Package 1: SW CACCIA terminal program item no.: 00375930-01:
- CACCIA Service SW V1.0, CD set item no.: 00375940-01
- CACCIA Installation and Getting Started documentation
(German / English) item no.: 00193790-01
- Product certificate item no.: 00341683-01
- Packaging for software CD-ROM/disk item no.: 00066212-01
– Package 2: CAN bus hardware for CACCIA item no.: 00375925-01
- LAPCan CAN bus card item no.: 00349514-01
- DRVCan 251 CAN cable item no.: 00349676-01
- CAN bus test cable item no.: 00349679-03
- CAN terminating resistor item no.: 00349740-01
2.3.1 Additional Equipment Required
The following components are required for CACCIA and are not yet included in the Siemens AG
delivery. These system components need to be acquired from the relevant manufacturers:
– CAN card for laptop (CANBLUE, CANAS, USBCAN, including driver software)
– CAN card for PC (CANBLUE, USBCAN, ESD, SIE, CANDY, PCAN, SOFTING,
KVASER_USB, including driver software)
– Flat ribbon cable with two 9-pin SubD connectors and two terminating resistors (120 Ohm
each) for the self-test function
– CAN bus cable (connects CAN card to SIPLACE)

2.4 System Requirements
The system configurations recommended for CACCIA are described in the following sections of
this manual.
2.4.1 Recommended Configuration for Hardware
The following hardware requirements are necessary for successful installation of CACCIA.
2.4.1.1 PC
– Windows NT version 4.0 or higher/ Windows 2000 / Windows XP
– At least 128 MB main memory
– Diskette drive
– Monitor with 1280 x 1024 resolution
– Keyboard and mouse
– Available PCI or USB slot (depending on board)
– CD-ROM drive
– USB connection for Memory Stick (if installed)
2.4.1.2 Laptop
– Windows NT version 4.0 or higher/ Windows 2000 / Windows XP
– At least 128 MB main memory
– Available PCMCIA slot, USB slot
– CD-ROM drive
