This manual describes the assembly of the Head Reconfiguration Kit for CPP heads on the
SIPLACE® X series. 2
2.1 Safety Instructions
DANGER: There is a risk for personnel and equipment if the safety instructions
are not followed!
Please observe the safety instructions in the relevant user manual when carrying out
work on the machine. 2
WARNING:
The SIPLACE machines are supplied with line voltage. 2
Parts of the system therefore carry dangerously high voltages! This voltage is present at
specific modules in the interior of the machine frame, even if the main switch is switched
off! 2
Incorrect handling of the placement machine or touching voltage carrying parts of the
machine can result in death or severe injury or considerable damage to the equipment.2
Before you perform any work on the machine, shut down the operating system and then
ensure that the machine is switched off at the main switch and is disconnected from the
power supply. In addition, the compressed air supply must be turned off at the main valve
of the compressed air unit, in the machine base, and the compressed air lines must be
bled by actuating the needle valve on the compressed air unit. 2
In the vicinity of linear motors there is a danger for persons carrying heart pacemakers.
For more details refer to the special safety instructions on working in the vicinity of strong
magnet fields in the User Manual and the Service Manual. 2
Observe the applicable accident prevention regulations, DIN standards and special
safety codes of your country at all times. 2
Read and observe the instructions about residual voltages in Chapter "Operational
Safety". Always observe the ESD regulations described in the operating guide, Ch. Op-
erational Safety. 2
While performing retrofitting work, always secure the machine to prevent unauthorized
reactivation or access by unauthorized persons, as described in Chapter "Locking the
Machine...". 2
There is an additional high risk of accidents when working with the programs and pro-
gram sections reserved for the service team. These programs may therefore only be
started by specially authorized and trained persons. 2
