Configuring Material Manager – Packaging Unit Management
For various reasons, packaging units may be flagged as Locked.
In this tab you can unlock locked packaging units for certain processes.
Should locked Packaging Units be included for process?
Process Create Storage List
If this option is enabled, locked packaging units may be used when storage lists are created.
Process Create Pick List
If this option is enabled, locked packaging units may be used when pick lists are created.
Process Create Restorage List
If this option is enabled, locked packaging units may be used when storage lists returned from the pro
-
duction are created.

MSD

by the system.
MSD level 1 is preset. If necessary, you may set a lower MSD level.

Example:
If MSD level 2 is set here, the MSD open times of all materials with MSD level 1 and MSD level 2 will be
ignored by the system.
Use this option if you are sure that the processed materials up to the set MSD level ALWAYS will be
completely consumed before the remaining MSD open time expires.
MSD Penalty Time (Minutes)
Here set the number of minutes that will be subtracted from the remaining MSD open time if no MSD
start has been performed after that a packaging unit was picked from a dry storage or an airtight pack
-
aging was opened.
The "Penalty Time" is entered automatically as soon as the system detects the missing MSD start, e.g.
during setup in the line or storage.
MSD Warning Time (Minutes)
Here set the number of minutes for the remaining MSD open time below which a warning will be dis
-
played during storage that the package durability will expire soon.
Thereupon, the user can decide if it makes sense to store the packaging unit or not.
Automatic printing of expired material report
If necessary, it is possible to print a list of all expired packaging units automatically. Expired means that
the expiration date of the packaging unit has been exceeded. The entries remain in the list until the pack
-
aging unit has been manually deleted or the expiration date of the packaging unit has been changed ac
-
cordingly.
Enable automatic printing
If this option is enabled, the list will be created and printed.
In the options that are displayed now, set time and the printer to be used.
Select at least one day of the week for automatic printing
Enable at least one day of the week on which the list shall be created and printed.
Report time
Set the time at which the list shall be printed.
Use standard printer
Enable this option if the preset default printer shall be used to print the list.
Printerpath
If another printer as the default printer shall be used, enter the path and network name of it here.
Level MSD open time
1 unlimited, default value
2 1 year
2 A 4 weeks
3 168 hours
