9.2.5 Tape Feeders and Bulk Feeders
Tape feeders of 8, 12, 16, 24, and 32 mm are available.
Select the tape type for each feeder.
Bulk feeders for 1005Cs (in. 0402) and 1608Cs (in. 0603) are available.
Notes:
1. Both 330 and 380 diameter reels can be mounted on reel holders. The supply
capacity is 10,000 parts at a feeding pitch of 4 mm, and 5000 parts at a feeding
pitch of 8 mm.
2. At pitches of 2, 4, 8, 12 and 16 mm, parts are fed at one stroke per pitch. Up to
pitches of 24 mm, parts are fed at a multiple of the pitches above.
(24 mm is the maximum length at which tape can be cut off.)
3. 380 diameter reel holders are manufactured on demand.
4. The maximum applicable nozzle diameter is included in the reel's alphanumeric
number. All nozzles within this diameter can be used.
5. All CP-6 dedicated feeders are made of aluminum.
6. The dimensions of the W8, 13-inch parts reels are shown below.
CP-6 dedicated feeders use a box-type reel holder, providing structural stability
to ensure repeated component pick-up accuracy.

9.2.6 Feeder Stand
The feeder stand is a 3-tier shelf designed to accommodate unused or spare
feeders. Shelves can be selected from the following list.
9.2.7 Handy Terminal
(1) Allows the operator to view and enter data normally displayed at the
machine monitor.
(2) Eliminates errors during reel replacement by enabling device checks with
the attached pen-type bar-code reader.
9.2.8 Roller Conveyor (Under Development)
(1) PCB conveyance is improved by rollers located under the conveyor belt.
(2) This conveyor is required when the total weight of PCBs (including the
supporting pallets) is between one and two kilograms. (Use in combination
with reference pin unit.)

9.2.9 HELPS
(1) HELPS is Fuji’s automatic production program changeover system and
stands for High Efficiency Line Production System. The main functions of
the HELPS system are:
• Automatic changing of production programs.
• Automatic adjustment of conveyor width.
• Display of instructions for the operator.
(2) An order for HELPS should include your choice of how to trigger
changeover. This can be either:
• Automatically, by reading a bar code or pattern code on the PCB.
• Manually, by the operator.
Note: Automatic triggering based on the PCB ID requires a code reading station to be
installed on the PCB entry side of the machine. Customers interested in this
option should call Fuji for further details.
9.2.10 Other
(1) Users can request specifications other than the standard CP-643E/643ME
specifications when ordering.
(2) Contact Fuji regarding the installation of other options.
