2.1.4 Danger of crushing
WARNING
Danger of crushing
There is danger of severe injury to hands and fingers when reaching into areas of the LDU
with moving parts.
► Observe correct handling and the safety instructions.
► Do not reach into areas with moving parts while the LDU is running.
In particular, be careful at the following positions of the LDU:
(1) Travel range of the dipping plate.
(2) Travel range of the squeegee.
2.1.5 Transport safety information
CAUTION
Danger of tilting or falling down
The LDU 2 X can tilt or fall down when handled incorrectly during transport.
► Always carry the LDU2X with both hands holding it as upright and horizontal as pos-
sible.
Take the handle(1) of the LDU 2 X with one
hand and support the housing with the other

2.2 Warning labels
The warning labels are made of soft PVC film, and are abrasion-proof, light-fast and resistant to
water and weathering. The design of the warning labels complies with the requirements of
ISO3864‑2 und ANSIZ535.4.
2.2.1 Warning labels on the LDU

Safe operation of the LDU
Safe operation of the LDU depends absolutely on the operator being familiar
with the user manual and safety instructions and putting them into effect.
Warning label - hazardous substances
Health risk
The flux and cleaning agents used may contain substances which are haz-
ardous to your personal health. Always wear your personal protective equip-
ment and observe the safety data sheet of the relevant flux or cleaning
agent.

Danger of crushing
Reaching into the LDU while it is running can lead to injuries to arms and
hands.
Pictogram span of control
Indicates the span of control of the module.

Indicates the position of the emergency stop button.
2.2.2 Important note on warning, prohibition and cautionary labels
WARNING
Warning labels
Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents for cleaning warning labels.
Replace any missing, damaged or illegible warning labels. Please observe the correct posi-
tion of the warning labels.
2.3 Safety features
The LDU2X has an emergency stop button. When pressed, the power supply to motors of the
LDU2X is immediately interrupted. After releasing the emergency stop button the LDU 2X will be
in idle mode. To switch back to operation mode, a reference run must be conducted: See chapter
4.11
"Starting a reference run" [}71] or chapter 4.8 "Operating the control unit via user inter-
face" [}66].
WARNING
Placement machine and LDU2X have separate emergency circuits.
The emergency stop button of the LDU2X only interrupts the power supply to motors of
the LDU2X.
The emergency stop button of the placement machine interrupts the power supply to the
placement machine.
► Please ensure to press the correct emergency stop button in an emergency.
